We are subject to Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information in connection with our website and services.

We are proud members of the Canadian Association of Rent To Own Professionals (CAROP), and we operate with the standards of transparency and professionalism that membership requires.

  • Current address and desired location for a rent-to-own home
  • General financial information submitted through our pre-qualification tool (income range, credit situation, employment status)
  • Any other information you voluntarily submit when contacting us or applying to our program

Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser type, and device information
  • Pages visited, time spent on the site, and referring URLs
  • Cookie and tracking data (see Section 7)
We do not collect Social Insurance Numbers, full credit reports, or banking credentials through our website. Any in-depth financial verification is handled through our formal program intake process and disclosed separately.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and communicate with you about our rent-to-own program
  • Assess your pre-qualification for our program
  • Match you with available properties in your desired location
  • Send program updates, educational content, or information about available homes (you can opt out at any time)
  • Improve our website and services
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

We will not use your personal information for any purpose other than those identified above without first obtaining your consent.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers

We use third-party platforms to operate our business. Your information may be processed by:

  • GoHighLevel / LeadConnector — our CRM and communication platform, used to store contact records, send automated follow-ups, and host our application forms. GoHighLevel operates under its own privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics — for website traffic analysis. Data is anonymized and aggregated where possible.
  • Google Fonts / YouTube — used for site styling and embedded video content.

These providers are contractually required to use your information only to provide services to us and to maintain appropriate security standards.

Professional advisors and partners

With your consent, we may share relevant information with mortgage brokers, realtors, or other professionals on our power team to help facilitate your path to homeownership.

Legal requirements

We may disclose personal information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, property, or the safety of our clients and team.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including any applicable legal or accounting requirements. In practice:

  • Inquiries and pre-qualification submissions are retained for up to 3 years in our CRM
  • Active program participants' records are retained for the duration of their program and for 7 years after completion (as required for tax and legal purposes)
  • You may request deletion of your information at any time — see Section 6

6. Your Rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Withdrawal of consent — withdraw consent to marketing communications or non-essential data use at any time (note: withdrawal may affect our ability to serve you)
  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal information, subject to any legal retention obligations
  • Complaint — file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe we have not handled your information appropriately
